1) Someone's posted a message and I think it's out of order, what do I do?
Reply to it, that what the forum's here for. If a message is against the terms of this site please report it by clicking on 'Report this Message' underneath every message and if necessary we'll deal with it. Sorry we can't reply to all reports

Yes. Registered users have a control panel where they can optionally, among other things, let people know their real name.
No. We do not sell you details to third parties either.
No. You can opt to receive emails when people reply to messages but that's under your control, and each email sent has an easy to click 'stop sending me these emails' link at the bottom.
Yes, when you register, your get your own Control Centre, in there is a tick box that says 'Allow other users to see my email address', the choice is yours (automatically it's set to not show it).
To get higher positions in search engines like Google it's beneficial for a website to have lots of other websites linking to it. Dodgy websites therefore send out automated 'robots' to look for forums and post messages with links to their sites, however these robots find it hard to read the codes (that's why they tend to be a bit squiffy).

The Administrator, it was originally Mark but he decided that he wanted to get involved in the forum and post his opinions therefore he separated himself from The Administrator.

It uses Phorum (Open Source using LAMP), which, after looking around numerous options seemed to be the best, and it is. We dig it.

13) I think the forum's ace/fab/lush/skill/brilliant, how can I show my appreciation?
Tell someone about it. Refer to it in everyday chit chat. "...well I heard on the East Dulwich Forum that it's going to become a...","...you should tell everyone on the East Dulwich Forum before someone loses a finger...""... that was the best Sunday Lunch I've ever had in SE22, I'm going to share it with the people of East Dulwich via their forum...", you get the idea.
with the question but be warned you may not get an answer, the forum is run by volunteers and there's not much time to read, reply or act on emails. There is the About the Forum section of the forum and you can post messages there instead.
