A "Close Account" option?

Is this possible? Would save people having to ask for it, and getting accused of having a hissy fit, or flouncing off. Is it possible with the software to have an option in the control centre to close your account, and ideally, have all posts removed?

The new version of the software does give you the option to close your account and we are hopefully upgrading the software in the next couple of months. However it does not delete the users' messages.

There have only been about six requests to close accounts in the last three years so that feature is not on the high priority list.

That's fair enough, although if all the people who've drifted away over time, had had the option, it may have been substantially higher than 6. Not sure I see the point now though, if all the posts stay on the board. Is there no way, other than one by one, these can be removed?

That would rather screw up the threads they were in! If people don't want their messages to be seen, don't post in the first place, I say!
