What actual benefits do the people of London get from being in the UK?

It might not be the explanation, but until the 16th century, there was no word 'orange' in English. We'd have used ' 'red' for what we now call orange. Similarly, the ancient Greeks had no common word for 'blue'. They saw all blues as varieties of light or dark 'green'.

Having seen this it reminded me of a question I don't know the answer to. What happens if 4 cars arrive from different directions at a roundabout? If you give way to the car on the right then everyone is giving way to someone. Stalemate or just chance your arm and go first? I'm sure someone knows what the regulation is. I just don't.

PS The link is entertaining though I'm sure some of you have witnessed the like

So if everyone is waving to the car on their right to go, no one moves? Everyone is just waving at each other.
