Venus and Jupiter conjunction - WHERE?!?

Sue

Recommended Posts

OK I've tried Google Sky Map but I still can't find them in the actual sky :))

And yes I know I've missed the date when they were closest together :(

They are supposed to be just above the horizon around 10.30 ish but not sure they ever get much above it.

Where in East Dulwich or thereabouts will I be able to see them?

Presumably where they're not hidden by loads of f-ing buildings??

Or indeed clouds.

GRRRRRRR

I've set both my alarms already :))

ETA: For f-ing 7am, but I've been doing the school run (aka walk) in Oxford for the last three days, so I'm sort of getting used to it .... :))

Where were you when you saw it, and what time?!

Barely above the horizon so a good spot would be Peckham Rye or maybe (?) Dulwich Park. Let's say you're standing on the Rye facing north towards the river. Glance over to your left in the direction of the former Kings on the Rye, and it will be visible (I think, depending on trees). You need to be out in the sticks to get the full view of imagine. Does this happen just once every few years or something?
