General civility (holding open doors, picking up someone's dropped gloves, greeting the bus driver, etc) doesn't need trumpeting, so what is a good example of what the organisers of NKD think is kindess? A box of biscuits for receptionists ( GP ,dentist ,lovely man in Chener Books ) A few appreciative words to people toiling in their front garden ? Flowers for the crossing person ?
