Attempted good deed

My husband just politely tried to warn a woman parking across the notorious dropped kerb in Lacon Rd. that she risked a parking ticket. Her reply? "F..k off and mind your own business"

I hope she gets a ticket, but perhaps this is just meanness.

Just passed by, the car there has got a ticket, so perhaps karma has struck (or whatever karma does). I'm surprised that there's anyone left in ED who doesn't know not to park across that kerb. I think the warden nests in the tree above, waiting......

:)) :)) :)) Much amused at all of that.

Except, I don't know which kerb it is ....

It's the dropped kerb near the junction with Crawthew. On the left if you're coming from North X Rd. The double yellow line stops just before it (or after, according to your point of view) so people think it's OK to park there. I've seen 4 cars in one day ticketed there.

It is worthwhile reporting blocking of drop kerbs. I have had to do it a couple of times and Southwark were very quick to respond and ticket them.

Interesting that you title this as good deed. I'd do this as a matter of course without feeling superior (which I expect is more me misinterpreting your words). Now if you titled it 'Karma, ungrateful driver gets their just deserts....'.

I'd have also been tempted to have a gloat, leave a message on the windscreen, etch something through the paint with brake fluid, torch the car, film it for YouTube, have a party (delete as appropriate) but the driver doesn't know who I am or where I live!
