It's a polite version of 'cissy-mary' and is very useful for deriding those who are acting like softies.

I can actually vouch for our wild endangered specie...on this occasion he was impeccably behaved (though I am judging his behaviour by my own standards of course!).

So you do know...now stop being tantalising HB you wicked person and put me out of my misery...or at least give me another clue (one which my brain can cope with)! (*looks at HB with pleading eyes*).

Well, how rude. I for one count myself among the 'Josephines.' Not that you'd ever say that to my face- I have a black belt.

It's hand stitched leather and coordinates rather nicely with my new Italian loafers.

Now, if you will excuse me, some of us must moisturise.

Apparently that's why Albert used to call Queen Victoria 'Vicky', LadyM.

Any how I'm glad the whole HAIR 'N' TUNE thing is all out in the open and we can all get back to real life now.

Remember, what HAPPENED in the Nunhead Forum, stays so unread by anyone it could feasibly be classified TOP SECRET.

I don't know, SeanM I think I've managed to start curbing myself.

On the current 'Getting Rid Of Squatters' thread by Jack Russell I've resisted mentioning Mutt The Hoople, though it took a gnawing of my thumbs and a cold bath to do so.

I think I may be on the road to recovery.

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
