Date: Thursday, May 6, 2010

Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: Brixton Village, Brixton, Coldharbour Lane, SW9

On Thursday the 6th between 6 and 10 pm the Pinkcat Collective will be animating the arcades of Brixton Village and shop units for a free multi-art form mini festival to promote new and emergent artists and performers. From painting and sculpture, live music, film, photography, dance and performance.

Sample some of the diverse cuisine on offer including African, Moroccan, Jamaican, Spanish, Filipino, Italian, locally sourced British and seafood ? feel free to bring your own alcohol with you. If that isn?t enough, you can stroll around all the shops that will be open in the market as part of the event. Browse vintage Parisian gear, sample a shop full of retro sweeties, kit yourself out in some full-on retro threads, treat yourself to a floral essence therapy, peak at local designer gear and more! .

Marvel at the potential for creative work this place has to offer! This is a great opportunity to meet some of the people already involved, to find out about projects you yourself could get into or see how this space could be a platform for you own work, or visit us to enjoy an evening of oddity and good food!

We also still have some spaces left either in the arcade avenues or in one of the empty units for May 6th; find a platform for your own work or test an idea at this high profile project in a genuinely friendly, informal, supportive environment and take the opportunity to meet other creative and motivated people. If you are interested in taking part, please contact ?? (Or come along on Tuesday 6.15pm at the Dogstar Pub in Brixton.

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
