I agree with public forums being used to look for advice and support on public nuisance issues such as noise. And I agree with public forums being used to form local support groups.

I disagree with using a public forum to form a support group for trash-talking a specificly described private house on a named road, premised on bettering the community.

I fear I may have poked a proverbial hornet's nest, but then again, it's hard to have much sympathy with a nest of hornets, as regards the public/private issue imho. :-/

Some things are beyond satire.

I could send a photo of my python, bartholomew... then he might become my reiki snakey Bart

After baby reiki, reiki for pets doesn't really surprise me. But... "I do not need to see your pet in person as distant healing will be performed"... if you don't see anything wrong with that, it might finally be time for that lobotomy.

I love the fact that although they don't need to meet the pet, they do need their location. Like the wrong cat may be healed if you get the postcode wrong.

My sisters dog up in Scotland stopped limping a couple of weeks ago. Thought nothing of it at the time...

Maybe it's an invitation to haggle. It's expected in some places you know.

The thread isn't interesting, but the title "V1rgin down for hours" excited me until I realised it was talking about broadband and not Oral activity

Sigh

PS excuse the use of 1 in the word in place of "I" but for some reason if I spelt it correctly I couldn't save the post... Are we being restricted in what we can say now ?

Not really, it's because there was/is this weirdo who every now and then posts messages like "I'M SINGLE AND A VIRGIN AND WHY DOES NO ONE LISTEN TO ME!!!!!" and so to stop him temporarily one evening we blocked the word virgin. I've taken it off now.

Oh crikey, sorry, only just seen this and I can't remember now.

I had a PM from Jess though, who knows why?! I guess others must have had one as well.

The whole thing was bizarre.

Ha! Funny, Jeremy.

Interesting that the astroturfers are getting a little smarter and posting something, anything somewhere else before putting up the 'ad'.

I noticed that too ....

Not the usual cat fight type thread we normally use this section for, but that rarest of gems: an entertaining written, insightful, very detailed post. It's about the cynicism of recycling in our fair borough. (Warning: may be tl;dr for some.)
