"Bespoke party planning" for a five year old. Yep.

Either this will be removed (for the blatant self-promotion it is) or it will be ripped to shreds...

I'm loving the confectionery TNT, perhaps the bespoke party could incorporate an IS training camp as it's theme, all that fresh air will do them good...

I think they might have overreached themselves a little - I don't think even the Sweaty Betty crowd are quite in this league just yet.

Well it's already been moved to the classifieds section.

I think that anyone using the word "bespoke" when talking about a kid's party just needs to be pointed at and laughed at in the street.

IMO - let kids be kids, and leave your aspirational one-upmanship out of it.

Party rings, monster munch, sausage rolls, cherryade, pass-the-parcel. Job done.

I can't recall my fifth but I probably got a clump round the ear and a stone or maybe a dandelion

A stone? Luxury! I had to make do with grit*

*Pronounced greeet

Sounds like an authentic, bespoke experience Steve.

I took it as a joke - isn't it?

I thought it was a (poorly disguised) plug for "Dazzle and Fizz". And if that is a joke, it's a rather elaborate one...

Children's entertainers - yeah sure. But "party planners" for small children's birthdays? Not something I've ever experienced. And nor do I want to.

They are called Party Planners and provide said Children's Entertainment..
What else do you call them. ? Who else do you call ?

I've no idea what you're going on about Foxy.

I guess I can see why people with the money to do so would want to hire someone to arrange everything for them so they didn'[t have to make up 30 party bags, hire the bouncy castle, sort out invites and so on (can you tell my daughter's 5th is coming up?). If that's all it really is, then fair enough, it's like having a personal shopper (another thing I'll never have).

But just the use of the word bespoke makes it sound so ludicrous before you've even started.

Balloon modelling? Get real Foxy. We're talking My Little Pony..for real!
It's like stag do's. Gone are the days when you went to the Nag's Head with your mates, got leathered and ended up tied to the nearest lamp post naked. Now we have long weekends shooting wild boar in the Black Forest*
One-Upmanship is everywhere I tell ya...

*Tied naked to a pine tree whilst being whipped by a buxom Fraulein in Lederhosen...see website for additional costs

So it's OK to have a 'party planner' for your 5yr old's birthday, but not to sell hot dogs for £6.50 down the market ?
Same thing innit ?!

Yeah partly that. And also because it sounds like something you'd do in The Hamptons, not in SE London.

It will be interesting to see if there is a market for them, if people are willing to pay the they will survive, if not they will be consigned to the waste bin of ED like so many "good ideas"

Red devil, how was the pine tree experience ? Worth the money ?
