david_carnell
Don't use any of them. All use MetOffice data which has an accuracy of about 30%.You're just as likely to know by having a guess yourself. Biggest con going. The Met Office is owned by the MOD if any explanation of uselessness is needed.
????
When I went travelling a few years back and then lived in Spain for a year you realise what a joke the BBC weather forecast is . I used CCN's.
david_carnell
To be fair ????, the Spanish weather forecast is a bit of a doddle....Scorchio!

SeanMacGabhann
Certainties in life: death, taxes and the unreliability of the BBC weather. Even allowing for the shaky nature of all other forecasts, the BBC forecast can almost be relied upon to be the polar opposite of what happensWhich I guess makes it almost the most reliableAnyway ? www.weatherpro.eu is where I use when I feel the need to be curious about the weather
brum
I've recently taken to ignoring weather bulletins completely to just revel in discovery each morning as I pull back the curtains.
Jeremy
Lucy whatshername on Sky News. Given that you can't really rely on any of them, you may as well go for the best presentation.
legalbeagle
I find the beeb very reliable about the weather whilst it is actually occuring. So for example they are currently saying that today will be a bit overcase and it may rain. Spot on, I'd say. Does create a small linguistic issue with calling it a "forecast" but that aside, it works well.
RosieH
Yes, I find looking out of the window most informative.
taper
The BBC uses Met Office data, and that is consistently one of the most accurate forecasters in the world - a lot higher than 30% for next day forecast. The British weather is highly volatile due to the Atlantic primarily), far more so than the US and most of mainland Europe. And very difficult to predict more than a couple of days ahead. The trick is to watch the dynamic forecast rather than rely on the static one/three/five day forecast.
????
Well. Their worldwide one is absolute crap - even in predictable old Spain - and they shouldn't offer it if it is so poor.
RosieH
What's the dynamic forecast? I don't know this thing.
????
It's a wooden house with two doors and man with a brolly comes out on one side if it's raining and a cheery woman bar t'at on t'other if the sun's out.
DirtyBox
Wendy Hurrel, the actual forecast is irrelevant

TillieTrotter
The best way to tell if it's going to rain is when I put my bedding in the wash! I'll start posting my bedding wash days on here and then you'll all be prepared.
RosieH
Don't put your bedding in the wash Tillie, or you'll come home late and drunk and be forced to sleep on the sofa, rain or no rain.
