I spent this weekend, oiling and polishing my wood

Looks lovely and shinny now with a deep mahogany red glow

Anyone else into wood polishing ? ;-)

I'm never sure if I'm doing it right, different types need to be treated differently, there's so much to remember. Polished wood is lovely although doing the floors is definitely a man's job...in my opinion anyway.

I bought some lovely Bees wax at the weekend and can not wait to rub it up and down my lovely wood.

Will have to move the cats out of the room as I do not think they like the smell of me doing this.

there's a little shop on Oglander rd that sells paint and stuff and also ozwax that is meant to be great for oiling wooden floors according to my good mate Jay Gentle who is a builder/chippie and comes recommended on the edf. (tu)

blimey, turn your back for a moment and they are all trying to steal my mantle .... (or polish it at least)

I must say I like a nicely turned legs myself, I could polish those for ages, especially the ones that bend slightly at the knees to take your weight ...

I find long slow actions seems to get the polish in deeper.
