Favourite chocolate or sweet?

The Kit Kat takes some beating, but a Twix is always a good substitute, although in both cases a cup of tea is required. If there is nothing to wash it back with then my favourite would be the Lindt milk chocolate Lindor ball but also a special mention for a packet of Maltesers.

"A finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat" - A questonable message, on a number of levels.

I like peanuts and chocolate in any form (but Boost is a fave) and Fruit Pastilles. Not at the same time though. Well, saying that I havent tried them together. Yet.

Has anybody tried the Lidl own brand equivalents of Mars, Snickers and Twix? Really rather good.

I hope the Lovely Liz, the diabetes nurse at The Gardens Surgery isnt reading this.

Something sadly not available in this country but which I buy in bulk every time I visit my family in NZ - toffee milks. Nothing flash, simply quite hard toffee, which goes chewy if you perservere, covered in milk chocolate. They're about 10cm long and 2 cm wide. Delicious. The toffee has an almost salty quality to it which makes them extremely moreish.

More than one visit to the dentist in my lifetime can be attributed to them.

My UK favourite is the humble Double Decker. And yes, I have eaten a whole pack of eclairs and hidden the evidence :-$

Mm, that reminds me - don't generally like American chocolate but Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are irresistable.

    • Aria has been great with fitting a new shower and rearranging some pipe work for us. He was quick, approachable and even highlighted that the shower manufacturer offered a cheap installation (we didn’t do this in the end as needed something else done as well). He was able to complete the work soon after his initial visit. Would recommend!
    • Yes but the point of saying "through" or "thru" is that it unambiguously includes Friday!!! "Monday to Friday" might or might not include Friday. "Monday through Friday" very clearly does include Friday. Nothing wrong with a useful expression that just happens to come from America, surely? Much of our modern language does originally, just as much of their language came from us originally. Times change, and all that ....
    • I'd say sending them  the affidavit and offering them a full refund for the return of the machines is a great idea. By far the least hassle for you, and will put them on the spot if they have been telling lies. If you end up having to give them the refund, you will be no worse off than you were before the sale (assuming they don't damage the machines, of course). But I know nothing about the legal issues (if any) around all this. Citizens Advice might help if you run into further difficulties? Good luck!
    • The point is that these door to door sellers are doing it under false pretences, and claiming to be part of a project that doesn't exist.
