C'mon ANDY

He's not miserable - he's a laconic Scot with dry humour which most people don't get. There are plenty of vids of him larking about with interviewers and making jokes.

If you only ever watch tennis for two weeks a year then you're not really going to see the whole picture.

Let's face it, you've just come of court after a gruelling 3hour battle and you're expected to perform to the camera to make the public feel comfortable about you being a happy media friendly person? who gives a toss really - it should be about the sportsmanship of which there is plenty with AM.

It is unlikely he will beat Federer today, but he has beaten him several times before so it's not impossible. I will be cheering him on this afternoon.

Don't care either way. Good luck to him, as Federer is arrogant, but I won't swell with British pride if he wins, and if he was playing Nadal I'd cheer Nadal because he's way more entertaining than any of them.

I see that you're trying to extend your playground logic to the world of men's tennis.

Top level sports men and women have, by their very nature, arrogance. It is why these sports people compete with each other for the prize of being the very best.

That and half a million quid in 2nd place prize money.
