One bedroom flat in period property - forest hill

To rent, a lovely one bedroom flat in a leafy part of Forest Hill

The flat is in a detached impressive period mansion block and has its own allocated off-street parking. The flat is characterful with high ceilings, cornices, ceiling roses and large bay sash windows which make the flat light and airy. There?s a separate eat-in kitchen (white goods included), a spacious living room which has a fireplace, large dining table, sofa bed, and a large bedroom with fitted double wardrobes. It has a storage/coat cupboard in a decent sized hallway ? there?s no shortage of space! There?s also a cleaner and gardener who serve the communal areas of the building and the outside green space (the cost of this is included).

The flat is located two minutes from Forest Hill Station with the overground to Highbury and Islington, and the train line to London Bridge and Victoria. It?s 15 minutes to London Bridge, 30 minutes to waterloo and Victoria and 15 minutes to Canada Water (nearest tubes are Canada Water and London Bridge). It?s also 2 minutes from the gorgeous Horniman Gardens and 5 minutes from Sydenham Woods. East Dulwich is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bus journey.

I?m moving out of the flat on the 19th of September and would like to let the flat to a couple or individual who appreciates my lovely home and will treat the flat like their own. The flat will be let furnished but this can, to some extent, be negotiated if you have a bed, for example that you would like to bring with you.

Rent: ?1200 per month excluding bills and council tax.

Contract: one month?s rent as deposit and one month?s rent in advance, references required and a private contract. You will be asked to provide a tenancy history and a reference(s) from your employer(s) to verify that your income will cover the cost of the rent.

I've attached some photos but please get in touch with any questions and to arrange a viewing.

    • Can you just queue up to withdraw cash or are other transactions like stamp purchasing required?  Do M&S do cash back?
    • Or don't stop using cash. Stop using your phone or even your watch as a banknote. At the same time avoid the risk of having your card cloned at cash points, by hand held card readers, oyster readers and point-of sale terminals to name a few. God only knows how much damage we're doing to the planet because all the above must require a hell of a lot of resources and juice from the grid. It won't happen though. I know of quite a few people who deem carrying cash about as a pain/ chore. But not a big lump of plastic with a screen and full of personal information that can be easily gleamed. I feel the same about carrying a phone about so i don't most of the time. I'll be in the minority but certainly don't see or treat a phone as a necessity.  You can't get a banknote out of your sky rocket with a phone in your hand. It's become a source of dopamine for many. It's an addiction for many. They're an easy target for thieves. They're a godsend to cyber fraudsters who are stealing billions and are doing so without the need of cash points.
