Double Room to Rent in ED House with Garden ?740 pm inc all Bills

I have a good sized double room to rent in a lovely house in East Dulwich!

There's a big kitchen with a dining table, a decent sized living room, a bathroom with a bath and a lovely garden that's great for BBQs in the summer. There's even a shed.

The house is fully furnished although the available room just has a large double wardrobe so would need furnishing. The room is bright, clean, modern and warm. If you need help furnishing feel free to get in touch and we can discuss.

The kitchen has everything you could possibly need including a coffee machine (used daily) and a bread maker (used once) and there are two record players in the house. There's a driveway if you have a car (I don't). There's good central heating so the whole place warms up in minutes.

Location-wise, it's a 5 minute walk to East Dulwich and a 10 minute walk to Denmark Hill stations. There is a massive Sainsbury's just 4 minutes away and it's a 10 minute bus/train to Peckham. It's a 5 minute walk to Lordship Lane and some brilliant pubs and restaurants.

I'm a 34 year old guy who works in theatre and has been living in London for 5 years, moving up from Plymouth after some time abroad. I'm into music, films, cooking, reading, running, travelling, socialising... general human stuff. There could be the odd free theatre ticket on offer, if that's your thing.

It's a two person place so ideally I'd be looking for someone who fits:

- A nice, tidy, open minded and decent human being

- Someone who will look after the place and help keep it nice

- It's a pretty quiet area with some families, so no massive house parties

- I'm pretty busy with work and life stuff but always open to the odd glass of red wine.

Contractual stuff

- I'm renting from a private landlord so there are no agent fees

- The contract would be for 6 months initially but totally fine to look at extending

- The ?740 is an all-in fee to cover rent and all bills

- There'd be a deposit of ?500 and I'd need references

- The landlord would need to quickly meet the person moving in but she's totally cool

Just get in touch if you have any questions.

    • Hi, I have a few filled and empty sharps bins to dispose of. My GP has filled out a form for the council and they've come to us while we were away, left two large sharps bins and no instructions. Would any of you know what to do? In the meantime I've gained another two empty sharps bins to add to my collection... Many thanks
    • I asked the same question in this forum a few months ago, as my wife wanted to learn to drive but was quite nervous after having had sessions with someone very stressful.  The recommendation we saw most often was Silvano, which she's been very happy with and who has helped her build her confidence. You can read more recommendations for him here
    • door to door selling has been around for years. It is not illegal.
    • They are not from 'rehabilitation schemes'. There are no such schemes that sell door-to-door. I have checked this myself with the probation services and been told by them that it's a scam. Trading Standards say: “Don’t deal with cold callers. Full stop. At the most innocent, they’re selling overpriced goods. At the more sinister end, they're assessing the potential for more serious crimes". It wouldn't hurt to report to the non-emergency number, 101. As Sandyman says, the police may use the information to direct future resources.
