Lovely childminder near Peckham library

I would like to recommend our childminder, Jackie, who lives near Peckham library.

My son has been with Jackie for almost 18 months now, and is thriving. She has provided us with a loving home away from home, and he is usually out of the pushchair and into the playroom as soon as we get to her house. Sometimes he?s so busy playing that he barely has time to say goodbye when I leave, and on the odd morning that he?s more clingy, she always finds a way to distract him. They do lots of reading, painting and drawing, walks to the park if the weather?s not too bad, and she has a wide selection of toys to play with. She has a nice size garden where they play all summer, and she cooks a hot lunch every day.

Having grown up going to nurseries myself, I?d assumed that was what I wanted for my son, but I haven?t found any that can provide the level of care and nurturing (at an affordable price) that Jackie does.

I know some don?t like childminders doing school run, but for us it has been an added bonus, as my son loves it when he gets to play with older children. Not to mention the opportunity it offers to look at the trains?

We are very grateful to have found Jackie from another parent?s recommendation here on the forum, and are pleased to recommend her in turn. Please follow the link below for Jackie's own listing or PM me for more info.

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
