Wanted: A Whole Bunch of Logs

I want to block up an area with my garden with logs, but I'm not sure where to source them and buying firewood for this purpose seems wasteful.

Are there any gardeners or tree surgeons who have a bunch of wood they want to get rid of? I'll gladly take it off your hands, the wood doesn't need to be in any sort of usable condition, just enough to fill up a gap behind a shed.

Alternatively, if anyone has any tips of where to source wood cheaply/for free - short of heading to the park with a chainsaw - please let me know.
