March to save independent midwives

Recommended Posts

Thanks for post Fuschia, I'd no idea independent midwives worked

withou insurance, I'm surprised this has been allowed, not that I disagree,

Just assumed any one directly involved with life, would be. It seems unbelievable

that no insurance cmpany will cover them.I have no personal experience

with Im's but believe people should have a choice. I also believe, although much

more difficult, that people still have choices regardles of there income. These choices are

often hard to see with institutional births but non the less are there. I have met many

women who have shared there experiences, there battles for choice within a system not independant and

Who have demanded there right for less intervention. Of course mothers would rather not have to fight

and many feel no need to whether because thet are happy with there treatment or can afford an Im. The choices

for mothers during pregnancy and birth should be there regardless.
