Party ideas for 7 year old boy - disco?

Steph

Recommended Posts

Its our 7 year old sons birthday in December. We wanted to take him and a few friends to the cinema/restaurant but he wants a party. Are they too young for a disco at 7? If we hire a hall and DJ? Any party and venue ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

Steph

At that age, kids don't naturally do discos - they like the idea for 5 mins but then don't know really what to do. If you are going to do something like that, it's probably worth getting folk in to do it who know how to keep the kids going - or try and find out the tricks of doing it.

But a great way I find at home to end a party - 10 mins of madness before they're packed off home on a high!

I haven't used them or gone to any of their parties, but found out about Whippersnappers' party packages when I was researching my daughter's party and also considering a disco -- http://whippersnappers.org/child-youth-services/birthday-parties/birthady-parties-over-5s/. I've heard their Dulwich Park location is a bit small for a party, but think the space at Brockwell Lido is much bigger.
