Dressmaking class for children?

I'm looking for a class or workshop where my 12-year-old daughter can learn the basic skills to make clothes with a sewing machine. I'd heard of one where they could sew e.g. a dress in a day but haven't been able to track it down. Can anyone help? Thanks!

you could check with lewisham and southwark council regarding the adult and family/children's classes that they run. they might well do a dressmaking course. the thomas carlton centre is at the end of choumert grove where classes run and you could pick up a brochure on what they offer.

yes, thomas calton center has some afternoon/family courses for sewing. Unfortunately, the list of courses is not online, just pop in to see what the offer is. it is in alpha street, near the peckham islamic centre
