Best containers for batch cooking

Recommended Posts

I used to use Lock & Lock, but recently have started buying the foil containers (like takeaway ones) from Farmers on Lordship Lane to use instead. I'm finding them much handier, as I buy a range of sizes, so can freeze in single portions, family size etc depending on what I'm making (I never seemed to have the right plastic container for the job when it came to family lasagnes etc). Best of all, no washing up :)

Agree with foil containers. When I was on mat leave with my first I did a load of cooking and froze in varying sized portions. Then whacked them straight in the oven once defrosted, made pie fillings etc and then just added mash top etc.

Hi Undiscovered, I found the Brother Max large weaning pots genius and are big enough for even preschooler portions. I bought a tonne of them and am in fact going to list them for sale (for cheap) on the forum this weekend so PM me if you're interested and I can drop them over as you're only round the corner!
