Anyone know if a sleep advisor/trainer?

Recommended Posts

We used a sleep trainer called Hannah Love at the Yummy Baby Group (easy to find on a Google search). She was fantastic and we will be using her again for our second child due shortly. My son was 5 months old when we started and still waking approx 25 times a night (no joke). We will all loosing our sanity. Hannah doesn't visit in person but advises by phone / email for as long as it takes to solve the issue. She worked with us until our son was going to sleep on his own and staying asleep - we saw a massive improvement within a week or so and then the rest was fine tuning. I honestly can't recommend her enough. Oh, and no controlled crying - just gently teaching reliable sleep cues until he could sleep on his own. 18 months on and we still use the sleep cues and he is still a good sleeper (normally...).

I've just used night nannies and my 6 month old has gone from waking 5 or 6 times a night to doing 12 hours which has been totally life changing! We did try and do it ourselves but failed miserably - if you're not tough enough, I thoroughly recommend paying the money - which was a significant sum for us - as he and we are all 100% happier.
