Any suggestions for local toddler friendly activities over Christmas?

Any suggestions much appreciated. My partner's now working most of the Christmas / NY period and there's only so many times I can go to dulwich/peckham rye park. Read about the southbank on another thread, but anything more local would be great.

Don't know old your toddler is but on Xmas eve we are taking ours to bowling, probably at Elephant and Castle.

It's cheap, indoors (so warm and dry), they have the miniature bowling shoes which mini-D_C loves and the ramp things to push the ball down. A game for a family of four can easily last over an hour and is good fun.

There are also two great places for a cheap lunch afterwards - Mamushka (Polish food in the shopping centre) and Dragon Castle (for child-friendly dim-sum).

Would second 'we're going on a bear hunt'- really good production and perfect toddler length. My very boisterous 2 year old sat still for the whole thing. They have a few tickets left- my sister managed to get an extra , one of the last 10 for yesterday's production. But probably worth ringing first.

    • The dustmen kindly broke my garden gate this morning,  so I am looking for a replacement.  I could make a complaint to the council, however I know I will have to prove it and provide a receipt,  both I can't provide. Many thanks.
    • My front gate has expired! Does anyone have an unwanted one - ideally wrought iron? Many thanks.
    • Do also remember that, whilst this is the original there is an unrelated FB presence with a (very) similar name, which might also be prayed in aid.
    • Yet another increase, its absolutely disgusting. I was charged £7.95 to send documents recorded delivery last week. I asked for the Signed for option that only costs £2.50 but the Post Office refused & said they would only send them recorded delivery.
