Removing a stain from IKEA laminate work tops?

I have black/brown ikea laminate worktops in my kitchen, and have noticed a whiteish round mark which has appeared. It must be from a saucepan judging by the shape and size. The mark is more of a 'plume' than a full on stain, and it can only really be seen when the light catches it, but now I've seen it I'm seeing it all the time. Does anyone know of a way of staining laminate? I've had a look online and can't really find anything that seems quite right for this particular problem.
