Best lightweight buggy to use with a buggy board?

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have a (heavy) 2.9 year old and a 8 months old. We use a Phil&Teds which works quite well but are looking to move to a buggy board arrangement as the toddler is wanting to walk more and more. I have a MacLaren Quest but I can't imagine it working with a buggy board for long distances.

Can anyone recommend a good lightweight buggy that works well with a buggy board? E.g.how is the Bugaboo Bee?

Thanks very much!

the bee is good with a buggy board, but basically anything that can parent face with an extendable handle is your best bet.

you don't want to go too lightweight as it puts a lot of strain on the frame especially on corners. apparently the new bee3 has a sturdier frame but the bee plus is fine imo.

also choose a board that has a decent height - i used the lascal maxi on the bee and when i walked my feet sort of went under the board. having said that i always wore trainers not flip-flops - if you do kick it with bare toes, its very painful!

i also used a board with a babyjogger city select in singles mode, that was my best arrangement by far.

    • Good that PETA is on it but can we add our voices to the fight against this horrible practice? I’m still shocked! A petition maybe? Happy to raise to the RSPCA but don’t want to duplicate efforts. I’ve signed campaigns from RSPCA before which sends it directly to your councillor
    • Yes, I'm aware of that. I believe the brood was five to begin with. However they are almost adult size now so not the prey of rats any longer.
    • Happy to recommend Greg. Lovely guy and a really hard worker, high standard of work, clean and tidy too. Greg sorted out a tricky water tank problem in a tight space in a loft, staying late into the evening to get the correct parts and fix the problem. Thanks Greg!
