How much to pay for babysitting

Our neighbour's teenager daughter (15) is going to start babysitting for us. We have one 5 yo who is in bed by 7 and babysitting will normally start at 7.30 ...

I need some guidance on how much to pay her ...

We pay ?5 an hour to our neighbour's 16 year old daughter to babysit.

My babysitter charges ?7 an hour. We choose to pay ?10. I guess you pay whatever you can afford and think is fair.

I babysit and I'm 19, I usually charge around 5-6 pounds an hour. I don't like to charge more usually because if the kids are going to bed an hour or less after I turn up all I really have to do is watch TV or tidy up so it's not exactly hard graft. If I'm spending the whole day with them or taking them out I'll sometimes charge more, but never as much as ?10 an hour

We pay ?5 to a 16 year old Charter student that lives a couple of streets away and always walk her home, plus leave plenty of food, snacks and the WiFi password!
