What to do tomorrow (Monday) in central london w kids?

The South Bank is perfect I think. The "beach" on the South Bank would be great for those ages. Also there's the disappearing rooms, but you'd be best taking towels and a change of clothes (and the water might be a bit cold for your 2 year old?). I took a wetsuit for my youngest! Then they could play on the wooden rocking animals at Gabriel's wharf.

There is also the Carsten Holler exhibition at the Haywood Gallery, where they can play inside a giant dice, but that might be expensive because they won't be able to do most of the other activities there (and the entrance might be a bit scary for the 2 year old).

I love the South Bank!

thankyou - i'd forgotten about the beach, so we had a lovely wander about, some time in the tate and on the beach, lunch at giraffe (along with a trillion other parents), a ride on the carousel and froyo and the SNOG pink double decker bus (froyo was a bit hit!). it wasn't really warm enough for the appearing rooms, but will do that another day - and sadly my kids are too small for the holler exhib (much as i'd love to whizz down the slides myself!!)

thanks!
