cleft baby

Hi there,

I gave birth to my daughter in November and she has a bilateral cleft lip and palate.

Similarly, I have nothing but praise for the Cleft team at St Thomas's. They have made the whole experience much easier and it's all far less scary than I imagined. I will PM you also with my details.

We also have experience of the cleft service, though my daughter's issue wasn't diagnosed until some time after birth. As the others have said they are amazing - you will have access to so many different experts who will help your baby and you every step of the way. Everyone there is lovely and will really listen to your feelings and needs as a parent and help you to make informed choices. Lots of luck.

Thanks for all of the messages. So nice to know that the S Thames cleft service is so highly regarded, it sounds like we're in very safe hands, but good to know there are local parents I can turn to for advice too if needs be! Thanks again, Laura
