Trick or treat - Sunday or Monday??

Recommended Posts

If any little ones cannot eat chocolates or sweets but would like to participate in trick and treat if you private message me the little ones details i.e. age etc, we can get a little toy or another option available for them. I can private message you our address so you can come by on the night and collect the little goodies.

That's very sweet EDAus! Have you heard of the Teal Pumpkin project? By having a teal pumpkin outside (even a print out) it shows parents that your home has "treats" other than sweets etc incase any children have allergies. We'll be up and down CPR with our 3.5 year old - it will be her first time! Not sure who's more excited - ha!

Thanks Melph91 I had no idea will print one off. I have a small stock of things just in case.

My nephew has ADHD which is made worse by sugar so we have always provided alternatives. Plus a friends little girl has sensory issues so we often do things earlier or later when things are calmer for her. I just want to everyone to have fun!

We've been out to admire the decorations. Some fantastic ones at the big houses on Marmora road. It's like being in America where Halloween is a big deal. There's some houses near the shops on lower Forest Hill Road and Colton. only 1 we could see on Dovedale. If anyone has spotted some good ones, let us know so we can make sure to have a look.

    • Good that PETA is on it but can we add our voices to the fight against this horrible practice? I’m still shocked! A petition maybe? Happy to raise to the RSPCA but don’t want to duplicate efforts. I’ve signed campaigns from RSPCA before which sends it directly to your councillor
    • Yes, I'm aware of that. I believe the brood was five to begin with. However they are almost adult size now so not the prey of rats any longer.
    • Happy to recommend Greg. Lovely guy and a really hard worker, high standard of work, clean and tidy too. Greg sorted out a tricky water tank problem in a tight space in a loft, staying late into the evening to get the correct parts and fix the problem. Thanks Greg!
    • Birds have large broods as it is unlikely all their offspring will make it through to adulthood.  Nature.  Important to reduce unnatural predation such as rats.
