Applying for state schools in 3 different boroughs

SC2017

Recommended Posts

We are thinking of moving back to the dulwich and surrounding areas. Can you apply for three different boroughs for your state school selection or can you only pick schools from one borough? Any help/advice would be great

You can definitely apply for schools in other Boroughs.

You apply online through your own Borough's website, but are free to put down 6 choices in any area.

Last year we applied to schools in Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham.

Just double check all of the admissions criteria carefully for each school.

Hi SC2017, you can definitely apply to more than one Borough. You apply via the Borough where you live and have 6 choices. (I am assuming that you are applying to go into reception rather than part way though primary). If your child is four or will turn four by 31st August you will need to apply by 15th January this year for a standard application. If this applies to you, and you move in the coming weeks, you will need to do a late application when you move.
