Can anyone recommend any effective mosquito sprays for children?

Jungle Formula is a fantastic brand and offers products aimed at children - they do a lotion repellent or a spray repellent suitable for children 1 years and over, and for older children 3+ they do mosquito bands.
a tried and tested product, recommended to me a few years ago and i always recommend as a go to buy - affordable, works effectively, there's no harsh chemical smells and it's easily available on amazon

Have you tried the oil from Avon? It’s not meant as a use for bugs but it sure works and smells amazing. I have so many bottles of the stuff (I bought 20 from Avon for my wedding in France) and there was no bugs. So I have 20 unopened bottles which I keep meaning to pop on eBay.
