Does anyone have Acoustic glass windows?

Hi there,

so I wasn't quite sure where to post this, but we're currently investigating getting new sash double glazed windows and wanted to know whether it was worth spending the extra money paying for acoustic glass. We live on a fairly busy road so would love to know if anyone on the forum has had any experiences or knows of anyone who has. The last people that we had come around to give a quote didn't really want to push it on us as their view was that it was 'subjective'.

Hi - we have acoustic glass in our sash windows and we're very happy with them (installed by DraughtBusters in 2009). Whether they're more effective than standard double-glazed I couldn't really say as we went from original sash windows with paper-thin glass and gaps round the edge! I realise this review, although positive, is fairly general so do feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions!
