Cafe G., East Dulwich is looking for someone to join our small team as a breakfast cook/deli hand. The role will be around 35 hours per week to include weekend shifts. Our food is seasonal, delicious and constantly evolving.

The role involves making hot breakfast rolls & other deli items to order as well as stocking the display counter with a variety of sandwiches and salads. There will be also be preparation of sandwich fillings, soups and salad ingredients. You will be responsible for rotating and keeping track of stock on your section and report to the head chef.

We need someone who has relevant experience as well as a passion for good food. The right cook will be well turned out, reliable and also hold food hygiene certification to level 2. Good spoken and written English is essential.

Shifts may start at 7,30am so it is very important that you either live locally or in an area that is easy to travel from and to.

Please do not send a CV - we would like to have a covering letter from you explaining why you would like to work for us.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    • Shifting focus slightly away from Sainsburys, for anyone who may do their shopping elsewhere we also have customer donation boxes at Lidl in Peckham and the M&S by East Dulwich Station.  If anyone knows of any other store locations that might be amenable to customer collection box (who don't already have one), please let us know, or if anyone might be up for organising a collection at work, at school, at your place of worship, or any one of a long list of other places in support of Albrighton Community Fridge, and you need some support in organising it, please get in touch.  It is a daily struggle to maintain a large enough food supply at the moment, so we are incredibly grateful for all support.
