Violin Teacher SE15

CJT

Recommended Posts

I teach violin in classical, folk and/or jazz style to adults wanting to learn for pleasure, or to those who picked up a fiddle late in life and need some bad habits ironing out.

I teach in a style that suits you. This may be learning to read sheet music, or it may be learning to improvise without music. As far as sheet music free learning goes, I can help beginners learn how to play-along with pre-recorded music at home, or I can teach experienced players how to quicken up their improvising, or transition from one playing style to another.

And to those in the know, I learned by the Suzuki method, so I'm all clued up in that approach and more than happy to support those already learning by this method.

The cost

?25 per hour.

No minimum booking.

My background

I have been playing violin for 23 years, both solo and in bands. I currently play in a swing band, with a monthly residency at The Night Jar, Old Street.

In recent times I've played at Islington Assembly Hall with The Moulettes, travelled to Barcelona with swing band Gertie & Her Gaiety and played on BBC Radio 6 with Mary Hampton (folk/pop artist).
