Looking for someone to re-instal our bi fold doors

hi

We had some bi fold doors installed recently as part of some building work but we are not happy with the instal and for various reasons don't want the original people back to rectify.

We would like them re-installed properly (ie flush with the floor and not letting in draught) and any related making good.

We also have a window that is above the newly built wall that is now far more draughty than before so I think also needs some kind of re sealing / adjusting.

thanks

Hi,

Have you considered contacting the manufacturer of the bi fold doors? We had ours installed by a builder as well, and it needed some adjustments and realignment. Rather than calling the builder back (went bankrupt apparently) we contacted the manufacturer who had designated 'fitters' for the doors they supplied. It was expensive, but was done properly in the end.

Hope this helps.

Thanks ourview, yes I had ruled out going back to the supplier as they have a strong business relationship with the builders who f***** up the instal but hadn't thought of going to the actual manufacturer and asking for recommended fitters - good idea, thanks!

    • There is a planning application to put a mobile phone mast at the top of Dog Kennel Hill.  Residents of Camberwell Grove and their friends in the Camberwell Society are fighting it - defacing their nice conservation area with ugly laminated posters!  They do not benefit from it as reception is fine on their side of the hill. https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=S9IKT2KBN1200 I do not think there are any health hazards from being near phone masts (or at least they are negligible relative to everyday risks we all face).  Anyway, here is what the NHS has to say about them: https://111.wales.nhs.uk/encyclopaedia/m/article/mobilephonesafety/#Risks I imagine this will spark some lively debate!
    • Hi Laura, Thank you for your interest. I only walk 2 dogs at a time and your mum’s little one will be walking with my own 12 year old  Tibetan/poodle cross(send you her picture) and I charge £20 p/walk, pick up and drop. If it’s from Monday to Friday then we can talk and see what’s best for both of us. Sometimes if the weather is good we can stay at the park a bit longer than a hour…😊 I can only start the walks from Monday April 8th. Thank you, regards  M
