Induction or Gas hob?

I am in process of re-doing my kitchen and I am struggling to decide whether to go for induction hob or the good old classic gas hob.

Can someone advise me please? I would be very grateful.

Induction hob looks better, easier to clean, but IMO gas is far more controllable/responsive to cook with...

We got an induction hob two years ago. Much easier to clean and (again imo) is as responsive as gas. I wouldn't go back.............apart from the fact that recently we had two power cuts and no means of cooking. On balance would stick with the induction though.

Induction all the way. Looks sleek and clutter free - knobs are so last year!

Be prepared that you may have to buy new saucepans if your existing ones aren't compatible with induction (iron based).

Test with a magnet on the base of the pans.
