Fairly close to Honor Oak Park, if you want a pub the All Inn One, 53 Perry Vale, behind Forest Hill Station has excellent food cooked by owner/chef and first class friendly service. If you want a restaurant, the newly opened Perryvale bar and bistro, sister of the Crooked Well, Camberwell, has first class food and excellent service. Been open about a month, and already a great success, so booking is essential. Also behind Forest Hill Station, directly across the road from the subway. Both rated highly on trip advisor.

Try Babur Brasserie - as good as Zaika/Cinnamon club. Not your average Indian. Really good and different.

Le Querce for the best Sardinian food i have tasted.

Mamma dough is very similar to Franco Manca, which you already have on Lordship lane

Can echo the recommendations for Le Querce (particularly enjoy trying their unusual ice cream flavours when I go there!), Mamma Dough and Babur. Had a great meal at The Orchard near Brockley station a couple of months ago. There's also the Honor Oak pub which opened last summer, haven't been there in the evening but had a nice Sunday roast there a while back.

The Perry Vale is now doing a superb 2 course lunch menu for ?10 Tuesday to Saturday. Choices include, among others, parma ham salad, melon, breast of chicken, fishcakes. The parma ham and chicken were excellent, quality was in no way compromised. Vegetarian options also.

    • I can recommend John Hudson. I've been taking lessons with him since last year and he's very good. He teaches most styles. You can find his contact details on his website - https://www.johnhudsonguitar.co.uk/
    • Hello, I was carrying my sleeping toddler on Sunday afternoon (21st April) and must have been pretty distracted and dropped my jumper from my bag. Iwas walking from Crystal Palace and then getting the 363 to The Gardens near Peckham Rye Park. Somewhere I seemed to have lost my favourite green jumper - is bright green, cashmere, from John Lewis, in case anyone spots it. Thank you! (Have phoned the bus garage too).
    • And what would you suggest for cyclists that also flout the rules?  Crush their bikes at the same facility that crushes errant drivers cars ?  Same rules and punishment must  apply to all road users (except runaway horses of course)
    • I'm looking for a guitar teacher for my 17 year old son. In terms of music that he likes, he says he's interested in learning fingerpicking (although I guess he needs to learn the basics first!). He listens to quite a lot of acoustic guitar stuff as well as indie stuff, has a curious interest in Japanese pop and loves folk too. Ideally we would be looking for someone who could do one-to-one lessons at my flat, which is 5 minutes walk from Honor Oak tube station.
