Best place to buy Xmas tree in East Dulwich?

Anyone have a recommendation on where to get a Christmas tree nearby?

Apart from not wanting to be fleeced, I worry when it's out the back of a pub car park or similar that the trees 'fell out the back of a van', if you catch my drift.

All advice very welcome! Cheers, Sally

we normally go to the place on South Circular by junction with Lordship Lane, just opposite old Harvester. Very good selection at varying prices.

There is also a regular stand in the pub car park (sorry) of the Plough on Lordship lane, opposite Library. However, this seems pukka and I think sponsors\contributes to St Christopher's Hospice.

But why are you asking about Christmas trees, surely Christmas is weeks away ? ;-)

I have got mine for the last 20 years or so from the flower and plant shop at the south end of Lordship Lane (just before it turns into London Road) next to Barcelona restaurant (Melford Road corner). Respectably sourced, fairly priced (but not give-away cheap) and keeps its needles throughout Christmas. Generally a nice shop anyway, from whom I buy bedding etc. plants through the year.

    • Good that PETA is on it but can we add our voices to the fight against this horrible practice? I’m still shocked! A petition maybe? Happy to raise to the RSPCA but don’t want to duplicate efforts. I’ve signed campaigns from RSPCA before which sends it directly to your councillor
    • Yes, I'm aware of that. I believe the brood was five to begin with. However they are almost adult size now so not the prey of rats any longer.
    • Happy to recommend Greg. Lovely guy and a really hard worker, high standard of work, clean and tidy too. Greg sorted out a tricky water tank problem in a tight space in a loft, staying late into the evening to get the correct parts and fix the problem. Thanks Greg!
    • Birds have large broods as it is unlikely all their offspring will make it through to adulthood.  Nature.  Important to reduce unnatural predation such as rats.
