A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all contributors for trip to help Greek refugees

I have just returned from my very long journey to Thessalon?ki Greece to deliver the clothes & toys you so generously contributed for the refugees down there. The charity I was working for Drapen I Havet A drop in the ocean are under huge pressure given the very cold weather & horrific conditions in the camps. There are serious security problems due to attacks by other factions!! So their problems continue to gather as European governments plan to send their refugees back to Greece at a time the Greek people are suffering terribly themselves. So, please continue to do what you can to help the organisations & charities working out there no matter how small, including asking your MP what we are doing to help. I do not intend to be political, but to bring awareness to a situation that we have a chance to make a difference.

We will be making a donation each month & looking for further opportunities to help this year.

And don't think I'll let you off there. Your gardening tips will be on the forum as soon as I've recovered, to help you sleep at night & get your garden ready for spring. Happy New Year 😊

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
