Admin Assistant needed for Nursery

We are looking for an Admin Assistant to work 18 hours per week at our Nurseries. Position start date will ideally be 01/03/17.


The person will travel to both Gipsy Hill and West Norwood on alternative days. Would suit a mother who is looking for a job to fit around school hours.


Days and hours to be confirmed, but ideally 2 days at Gypsy Hill, 2 days at West Norwood, 4.5 hours a day.


Duties will include but not limited to:


General administrative tasks

Answering the phone and dealing with enquires.

Email monitoring and responding to prospective parents.

Writing monthly newsletter's and notices when required for parents.

Writing receipts and invoices for parents.

Liaising with the bookkeeper and answering any queries they may have.

Filing all invoices, receipts and additional paperwork required for bookkeeper.

Tracking staff holidays and sick days.


MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE.


The role will pay ?561.60 a month take home, rising to ?585 in April.


The successful candidate will have to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔

    • Saying cyclists are the most antisocial people in London isn't helpful.  Nor is the Standard referring to cyclists as lycra clad louts  Yes we can have an adult conversation.  But emotive knee jerk nonsense is not going to achieve this and just plays into the hands of those wanting a manufactured culture war
