My name is Marianne Boutall and I am a specialist maths teacher. I have been a Primary school teacher since 2001 but have been working as a Numbers Count teacher since 2009.

Numbers Count is an intensive intervention for learners in Y1 to Y8 who have the greatest difficulties with mathematics. The programme is delivered by a specially trained teacher who also supports other teaching staff in schools.

I work with children with major gaps and misconceptions in maths. Many of the children I work with have dyscalculic traits.

Dyscalculia is a specific learning difficulty and is the inability to understand simple number concepts and master basic numeracy skills. Difficulties with numeracy and maths are also common with Dyslexia.

As a Numbers Count teacher my role also involves the following;

- delivering training to teachers/TAs/HLTAs/SENCOs/Senior Leadership in schools across Southwark and Lambeth

- producing and editing policies for schools

- delivering parent workshops

- supporting maths planning teams

In February 2018, I am doing a postgraduate in Dyscalculia and I am currently doing a Level 4 course in developing Numeracy skills in learners with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia.

I am available to tutor children from Y1 to Y6.

I have many references from schools across Southwark and Lambeth and parents of children I have previously tutored in the Dulwich village/East Dulwich/Peckham areas.

If you feel that your child is in need of my services, please get in touch.
