Classic Lofts - we would go as far as to say look no further!

Lofts don't come cheap and it doesn't happen over night; so you want to feel on the other side that it was the right decision! We are just delighted and thankful we chose Classic Lofts. There is absolutely no doubt in our minds that we enlisted the best Loft Company. Seriously cannot convey how smooth the whole process was considering what is involved. All their team were polite, respectful tidy and competent.... we even kind of missed them after they had finished - which is nuts considering how unavoidably disruptive the whole thing is at times.

Its like observing a well oiled machine. Sometimes guys would just swoop in and swoop out - they were the 'tidy up guys', the damage limitation team. No moaning just gathered up what was no longer needed and tidied the space for the next phase of works.

From the first site visit we had from Kieran; nothing was an issue. Their work was methodical and their finish is exceptional and we just love our loft. 3 months down the line we still can't quite believe that firstly we've done it and secondly that it was as stress free as it was. Bernie the project manager was always flexible and calm, but behind the scenes there must have been a whole heap of orchestrating going on to allow for such a seamless operation.

So here are some things that we just really appreciated.

1. We had a very strong idea of what we wanted and how we wanted the space configured and they listened and considered and gave us as much as was logistically possible.

2. The work was continual - no great gaps of time between crew coming in.

3. The crew are not contracted in, but employed by Classic Lofts - hence they know each other, know how each other works and they just crack on without any friction or clash. Labours, carpenter, electrician, plumber & roofers were all fantastic.

4. Not once did we have anyone moan or grumble or say that's not what you asked for. And to be honest we did change our mind on a couple of ideas - and they were completely accommodating. So refreshing not to have moaning builders!!

5. Our bathroom fittings took forever to arrive - so our supplier sent a temporary set. Classic fitted both the temporary set and the final set without any issue.

6. We had a few additions; like moving a door so the space around the stairs worked better. They boxed in our meters and repaired our Apex. All these things we felt were done properly, with an aesthetic eye and not a hefty price tag.

7. They put a false supported temporary ceiling in our existing space, until they were ready to break through for the new stairs; which prevented the bulk of the dust and mess from entering our flat. Throughout, they did their utmost to keep our space as liveable for us as is possible under such circumstances.

Finally, it looks amazing. We don't feel like Classic Lofts cut corners with anything. We asked for 'old' doors to keep with the style we already had. The doors they provided us with were reclaimed and refurbished and are frankly stunning! The stairwell is beautiful - how they matched the existing spindles so perfectly still has us smiling.

A Loft Conversion is a huge job and it must be a complete nightmare if you get the company wrong.

We wouldn't know about that - and we feel very grateful.

    • That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
    • Looking for a suit for an 11 year old. Quite specific, white with black thin stripes.  Trying to replicate Michael Jacksons smooth criminal costume.  A blue linen shirt and white tie.    Thank you !!!!!!!
    • A quick Google found this, amongst other things: "Social impact models are frameworks or approaches that guide how organizations or initiatives address social or environmental problems."
    • "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" comes to mind Unfortunately, a large number of cyclists do exhibit selfish amd anti social behaviour which, regardless of how many good cyclists there are, is seen as the norm.  It's a bit like one car driver jumping a red light and all car drivers getting tarred by the same brush. Perception is the issue and if cyclists all obeyed the rules, everyone would be less anti them but unfortunately that isn't the case 🤔
