Changes to train times between ED & LB

Actaully, the 08.51 wasn't too crowded this morning. At some point I'm sure they'll restore the "every ten minutes-ish" frequency, but with all the work going on at LB, it's inevitable there will be inconvenient tweaks. Platforms 12 and 13 are now open and it looks like there's plenty of space on shared platform 13 and 14. I only hope the same will be true for platform 15 when they've completed work on the new side entrance.

Well some people are - I see quite a number of people normally get off at SB. Plus others want to go to QRP to change to the Overground. The short-stopping trains in fact do carry on (empty) to LB then come straight back out empty ? as there's obviously nowhere to turn round at SB :-)

It's those few minutes that add to congestion at that time in the morning.

@RRR - it's interesting this has a feel of the experience we had before Platform 14-15 were reopened. Queues to get into LBG which weren't so prevalent since Easter when 14-15 were partitioned from the rest due to 12-13 being shut.

Now that 12-15 are all open again, there's probably more demand for track and signals on the same sections of track which have a knock-on impact to the rest of the services.

I'm also noticing waits to depart South Bermondsey in the evenings, which hasn't been there in the past.

Next big change due at Christmas, so this could be a feature of the next four months...

Just found out that some of the outbound trains from London Bridge are actually timetabled to wait at South Bermondsey for five minutes... Presumably to avoid clashing with the overground services down the line. Wonderful scheduling.

I honestly don't think complaining wilol do any good whtsoever. I was annoyed yesterday when I saw train ended at SB. I wanted to get to Camden and normally I get the Northern line from LB but had to get bus to the Elephant and caught the tube. As it turned out the journey was good and quick but then it was a Sunday.
