Hi he died outside 67 overhill road. Who puts up the blue plaques is it the council or someone local?

Southwark Council used to run this but now supports, since 2011, the Southwark Heritage Association running the scheme - http://www.southwark.org.uk/SHAFrame800.htm.

Southwark News promote the annual vote for which of a number of suggested blue plaques receive the award.
