Peckham Rye Park looks fantastic!

There was a thread about this a while back, but I can't find it, so apologies for starting another one.

I just wanted to thank all the designers, gardeners and others involved in making Peckham Rye Park look so good at the moment.

It's a real pleasure to walk through it.

Totally love Peckham Rye and the park. A beautiful spot for everyone to enjoy for free, no ???, nothing. If I had to make a choice I'd say Peckham Rye over Dulwich Park (even though I've given up on the cafe at the former). Love the Sexby Garden in particular. So reviving to take a book and a sandwich and spend a lunch hour there in the sun.

Agree, took my Mum for a walk round there yesterday and it was really good. Might have to get some fritillaries (?) and make one of those garden bed things myself.

And they've made a new path where the nature bit was at the edge but it's not open yet.

You are all welcome to (what I call) my front garden.

And those of you who walk around my back garden, yes, Nunhead Cemetery is fabulous too.

We have staff.... They work very hard and we are all lucky here.

We all thank you, and yes, Friends of Peckham Rye Park (and Friends of Nunhead Cemetery for that matter) are excellent groups.

I much prefer Peckham Rye Park to Dulwich Park.

It seems to have more "secret" bits, and Dulwich doesn't have anything like the Sexby Garden, unless I've missed it.

I think PRP got a lottery grant a few years back, which could explain why they had the money to make it so beautifully planted, but it has been very well kept since then.
