Beware group of mopeds driving dangerously

Recommended Posts

I was turning right on my bike just now from DV up Calton Ave then right again up Court Lane. A group of 6-8 mopeds, at least one with two people on it, came up very fast behind and then around me, with at least one cutting up the wrong lane, missing me by a couple of inches as I turned right. They were bunched close together and weaving about, and perhaps thought it was funny as they were laughing and beeping. Presumably if that wasn't the right interpretation they'd have stopped to check if I was OK.

Reported it to 101. Don't suppose the police will do anything but if the group succeed in killing someone obviously I'll feel bad if I hadn't reported it. Seems people have to be injured or killed before the authorities will deal with this menace.

Thanks. Recomposed myself by removing not one but two dirty nappies from roof of car parked outside my door. Could leave it for the neighbour involved but I guess they're not bothered and it seemed preferable to waiting until the foxes found them.

Think I've had it with this area. So tired of putting up with antisocial behaviour.

Might it be possible that the car owner got home, unpacked the car, put the nappies temporarily on the roof and then forgot to take them inside?

If it was their kids' dirty nappies, they would surely not leave them on their car roof!

I also reported this to the police on Monday at about 7:30pm. Heavily pregnant and had to run across a junction on Nunhead Lane, as 10-12 kids went through red lights and brought all the traffic to a honking standstill. So incredibly dangerous.

Little bastards.

Again, as per your previous attempt to be "humorous" regarding that thread, utter BS. One person objected to the use of the phrase; everybody else objected to your frothing demand that a person who had killed another should just be left alone by police without due process because you'd already decided on what happened.

They might well have forgotten, as you say, but I didn't like to ask! I cleared them away as better - and easier - to do it before the foxes have had a go.

Really? What would you consider to be properly offensive these days? What would you hate being called?

Asking for a friend...

Game of Thrones changed that word for me I think - and they tended to use it in it's original meaning.
