Argos coming to Sainsbury?s East Dulwich?

I was told by a reliable source today that our local Sainsbury?s may be adding a Argos store within the current supermarket. Apparently it?s a long term strategy to add Lloyd?s pharmacy and Argos to most existing larger stores. Any thoughts?

I would have thought it is most likely an Argos pick up point (so you order on-line and then pick-up in-store). I think the Forest Hill Sainsbury's already has one.

Sainsbury's has acquired Argo so they will more than likely shut some Argos stores down- Argos has never been a place where you can inspect goods before you buy them- except for their mostly boring jewellery- so online is their way to go, I'd have thought.

They?ve closed down the Victoria Argos and moved it into the Sainsbury?s Market there. I used it the other week and it had the couple of things that I wanted. I?d expect though that it has a smaller local warehouse so either they?ve got much better at ?just in time? logistics or they?ve reduced the ?available immediately? range. Or a bit of both.

I think the only way Argos will move into DKH Sainsbury's is if the Peckham Argos closed. But can't see that happening as it's always busy.

The Click & Collect at Sainsbury's Forest Hill is useful though.
