They just posted an estimated 4 hour fix time from 15.00...

SE22 - We're working hard in your area

We've found a burst pipe in Lordship Lane.

A burst pipe is causing low water pressure and no water in SE22. Our specialist engineers are now working hard to fix this a quickly as possible, which we estimate will take around 4 hours.

We've also put together some practical advice to help you understand the problem:

What causes burst pipes (http://www.thameswater.co.uk/help-and-advice/cold-weather/why-our-pipes-burst)

What to do if your pipes freeze (http://www.thameswater.co.uk/help-and-advice/cold-weather/what-to-do-if-pipes-freeze)

how can you protect your home if your area is affected (http://www.thameswater.co.uk/help-and-advice/cold-weather/prepare-your-home)

I reported that leak at the Northcrofts houses four days in a row (about two weeks ago) before they came out to do what they described as a ?temporary fix?. I wonder if this is related to that. Either way, they were really slow to deal with it and it was only when I sent them a video of water pouring down the hill that they swung into action. Sigh.

We're still on the case in SE22.

Our specialist team are working hard to fix the issue with low pressure and no water in Lordship Lane, but the complexity of the network is making it tricky.

We estimate the fix will take a bit longer than usual, but we hope to be finished around 21:30pm. We understand how disruptive this must be, so we're very sorry for the delay.

We'll keep posting updates here, so check back when you can for more news.

Siduhe - I also reported when crossing the road became a stream! I wish there was a 'current' location option for reporting leaks - so much easier than trying to work out street numbers/postcodes.

Doesn't surprise me that it's taking longer than estimated; looking at the Twitter video from earlier there seemed to be a fair mess - bubbling up through the slabs on the opposite side etc.

Thames Water have an 8 week programme of work scheduled to start around here in mid-Feb to put in plastic pipes. Let's hope this stops this happening quite so frequently.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the burst water main that was further up the road opposite Wood Vale has now moved further down the road.

It seems to be a think with water leaks, plug one up and then the issue moves further along.

Also the weather has been 'milder' today than over the last few days, which can cause issues.

    • Can't imagine the police can do much about suspected casing of houses - sadly they don't seem able to do much even when thefts have been caught on camera. But no harm reporting - they supposedly use this data to direct future resources.

    • Hi Everyone   My aunt had a horrible fall at East Dulwich station last Thursday on 11th April.  She has suffered significant injuries and was helped by 2 kind passers by whom we would really like to thank. We also want to know if anyone saw her fall/ knows what happened as my aunt cannot recall and it would be useful for her family to know in terms of future planning.  If you are or know the passers by who assisted, called paramedics and comforted her, please do reach out - we would love to thank you.  Equally, if you happened to be there or see what happened please message and let me know.   Thanks
    • what is the status of your company? is it formally closed, yet the bank account is open? How are you planning on extracting the funds from the company account?  Do you have your emails from a personal email account? Is there any indication that it is a business sale, other than a business bank account - did you tell them it was a business bank account - does the bank account you gave them have a different name?
