Pixellating screens with Virgin cable? (near to Goodrich School)

Do you have this problem, especially if you are near to Goodrich School? I have had the Virgin men around to try to fix it, but they say when they check the signal at the box some 20yds from my house, all is fine. The connections, box and cables are all in working order they say. Both my next-door neighbours have problems with screen freezing, so I am wondering whether this is a common problem in these parts.

It could be a number of things including

1. Low power signal from the cabinet

2. Faulty box or even an old box

3. Depending on what TV you have, the box my be having trouble upscaling if you have a large HDTV

I have added 3 links below from http://www.chetnet.co.uk/portal/

The site isn't your usual cable TV forum but is run (unofficially) by current and ex Virgin/NTL staff. They are excellent and can help you get to the bottom of cable TV or cable broadband problems.

They have helped with my TV problems when the engineers had no clue
